Distinctive Painting can paint almost any interior/exterior surface.
We believe the foundation of any top quality paint job can be found in the
prep work involved, the use of top quality materials, and in the details
performed to give your project that "professional" look.
What to expect when you call:
We want your experience with us to be a pleasant one from start to finish
We will schedule a convenient appointment for you for a consultation. We'll take notes, collect information and/or offer some free suggestions or advice, then take some "before" digital pictures.
We will use the information collected to get you a written estimate usually within 48 hrs.* by mail or email.
To proceed Distinctive Painting would require a deposit and a signed contract. Then will arrange with you the start date.
When the project begins:
Distinctive Painting will be committed to your project and work 7 days a week and/or holidays if need be to finish your project on time.
From day one we will take extra measures to make sure your belongings are protected using drop cloths, tape, and plastic. Moving furniture, pictures, window treatments, etc. as necessary.
Work areas can be cleaned and usable to you after each work day.
The work will be completed using a combination of time tested painting techniques and the latest painting technologies.
We generally use higher end Sherwin Williams products, unless otherwise specified by you.
During the project:
Distinctive Painting will try not to disrupt your everyday routine as much as possible.
We can keep you informed daily of the progress and/or send digital pictures if you would like.
When the project ends:
Distinctive Painting will return your home to normal.
Completely clean the area and return any furniture etc.
Removal of any of our garbage.
Clearly label and leave you any left over materials for touch ups, etc.
Any "touch up" for any reason up to 6 months after completion -is free! *
Payment (minus the already paid deposit) will be due in full upon completion.
What is a Faux Finish?
A faux finish describes a special technique in painting to give you a unique and custom finish on your walls. Many prefer this to wallpaper so you don't see any seams or repetitive patterns. Also when it comes time for another change it is easily painted over instead of messy paper removal.

Drywall and Plaster-
Drywall: Distinctive Painting can hang, tape, and / or repair drywall
repair loose tape / seams, nail pops, holes, water damage and mold.
we use the industry-wide 5 standard levels of gypsum board finish to achieve the desired results according to your project.
A full line of texturing techniques is available, such as: orange peel, popcorn, knock down, etc.
Plaster: We can correctly repair any stress cracks common in many older homes.
Venetian plaster: a new texture option to give an "old world" sort of feel.
Pressure Washing-
Pressure washing is an important first step in any exterior painting project. Not only does it clean, but it brightens wood, removes damaging mold and mildew, and gets surfaces ready for paint or stain.
Decks, siding, and fences are not the only things that need washing:

Vinyl, aluminum or fiber cement siding

We use a combination of high pressure water, manual scrubbing, rotary nozzles, and high pressure injected detergents.

Concrete Countertops:
Concrete... in my house?
Yes! This versatile material can be used to create amazing counter tops.
Concrete is unique and personalized. You can add custom inlays and /or choose from a variety of acid stains or Integral colors.
Snow Removal - We will shovel, snow blow, or plow the areas you specify whenever it snows or on a schedule you request.
Caretaker- We can check on your house while you are away to make sure there has been no vandalism, frozen pipes, or other situations that could arise.
It will give you a great sense of safety and security knowing that someone you can trust is watching over your home.
If any repairs need to be made (with your approval) we will make the repair ourselves, or arrange for a plumber (or whatever contractor is needed) to do the work for you.
We will work out a schedule with you that meets your needs and can send you pictures and updates via email if requested.
Second Home "visit ready" Services- We have found a need for some seasonal residents to want their homes opened up and ready for their visit when they arrive. During any season.
We can: air out the house, dust and clean, grocery shop, sweep your decks, put fresh flowers on your table, pick local berries for you, get your ski passes or tickets to the "Big Top", Yes, basically
whatever you need to be able to come here and just relax!!
We can also close up the house for you when you leave. Take away your garbage, wash your dishes, make your beds, or close it up for the winter. You decide!
*All Services will be written in a formal contract stating exactly what you need and what is to be done, the schedule you wish, and payment information. We will also include references and a copy of our insurance for your review.
